CRICKET.
i NEW CLUB AT PAPAKURA. The formation of a cricket club at Papakura was decided upon this week at a meeting of cricket enthusiasts in the district. Mr. C. S. Beechey presided. It was decided to affiliate with the Auckland Cricket Association and to enter a team in the second grade if possible. The subscription was fixed at £15/ for senior members and 15/ for members under 18 years. It was decided to try to obtain the use of Prince Edward Park, Papakura, for matches and practices. Following were the. officers elected : — Patron, Mi-. J. N. Massey, M.P.; president Mr. P. .T. Parker; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. .T.' Willis, J. A. S. Slack, T. Brooks, T. Thompson, E, D. McLennan, \V. IC. Francis, Balfour M. Irvine and S. D. Rice; secretary, pro tem, Mr. R. Brewer.
