NORMAL SCHOOL PUPILS.
CONCERT IN TOWN HALL. With the object of raisins? funds for group libraries and apparatus for the Auckland Normal School, a concert was given by the pupils in the Town Hall last evening. There was a large attendance of parents and friends of the pupils, and the audience was favourably impressed. The singing of both the boys and girls reflected ffreat credit on. _ their teachers. Other items, dances, recitations, drill displays and a short play were equally enjoyable. Particular interest was shown in the singing of Schubert's "Who Is Sylvia?" iby the pupils of Standards 111. aud IV. The sons proved to be one of the successes of the evening. Other outstanding items were A. A. Milne's playlet, "Pooh Bear in a Tight Corner," by the pupils of Standard 111., the choral recitation, "The Union Jack," by boys of Standard V., and a butterfly dance by pupils of the model country school.
