SALVATION ARMY.
CONCERT FOR WORKMEN.
A successful concert was given by the Salvation Army Eden Silver Band and Songsters' Brigade at the Salvation Army Workmen's Home, Paul Street, on Wednesday evening. Marches and songs played by the silver band, under the baton of Bandmaster J. Smith, were well received, together with a number of solos and choruses by members of the choir. Vocal items were given by Bandmaster Smith,! Ensign Rother.ham, Mr. Lemon, Mr. Scolly, Miss Fleury, Mrs. Austin and Mrs. Ensign Bartleet, and a humorous recitation by Ensign Bartleet proved very popular. A vote of thanks was accorded the performers at the close of the entertainment.
