OLD MAN'S "ENTERTAINMENT."
"Accused made a nuisance of himself by dancing and singing in a Queen Street theatre entrance last evening," said SubInspector Shanahan in the Police Court to-day, when William McElwain, a labaged 71, admitted a charge of beins disorderly while drunk. Mr. Shanahan said that accused had attracted a great deal of attention by his behaviour and had insisted upon making speeches to the crowd. Accused, who had three previous convictions within the last six months, was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment. The magistrate, Mr. W. H. Woodward, allowed McElwain a week in which to pay the fine.
