With bulk motor spirit from Tarakan, the Shell 'Co.'s tanker Acosta is due :> • Auckland at 8 a.m. to-morrow and will discharge the local portion of her cargo at the Western wharf. The Northern Co.'s f.teamer Taniwha. which was holed by a snag and sank in the Waihou River on Wednesday night, returned to Auckland this morning and berthed at the Central wharf. She is t> go on the slip on Monday for inspection and repairs. MAUNGANUI LEFT WELLINGTON. On her return trip to Sydney, the Union Company's passenger steamer Maunganui left Wellington yesterday afternoon. She is due at Sydney next Monday morning and is to transfer to the trans-Pacific service, leaving there on Thursday for Wellington, Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. MATAROA'S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Mataroa is to sail on Monday afternoon for Timaru to commence Homeward loading. She is to fill up at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Auckland, returning to this port on October 16 and sailing for Southampton and London on October 22. GOLDEN CLOUD TO-MORROW. According to a wireless report the O. and O. Line steamer Golden Cloud will arrive at Auckland from Los Angeles at noon to-morrow. She lias 612 bags of mail and three passengers for Auckland, and cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. (Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., agents.) KUROW RECOMMISSIONED. Her overhaul completed, the Union Company's steamer Kurow undocked this morning and berthed at the King's wharf to sign on a crew. Captain George Ruxton has been appointed master, with the following officers: —First, Mr. G. W. Kemp; second, Mr. L. Sinclair; third, Mr. D. .T. Rutter. She is to sail to-morrow afternoon for Wallaroo, Editliburg, Adelaide and Melbourne to load for Auckland, Castlecliff, Tarakohe, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff.

The Margaret W. went on the slip this morning to replace a broken propeller blade. She is to resume in the East Coafat service next week. The Union Company announces a steamer to load at Adelaide and Melbourne carly in November for Auckland, New Plymouth, Tarakohe, Wellington and Lyttelton. KAITUNA TO PAY OFF. Due at Auckland from Greymouth tomorrow morning, the Union Company s steamer Kaituna will pay off after discharging at the King's wharf. RANGITANE COMING. Scheduled to clear Southampton to-day, the New Zealand Shipping Company s passenger liner Rangitane is due at Auckland on October 29. MAHEXO AT WELLINGTON. HERTFORD'S SAILING, In continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, the Federal ste&mer Hertford is to sail on Monday afternoon for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. KALINGO'S MOVEMENTS. The local office of the Union Company advises that the steamer Kallngo is due at Coff's Harbour about October 16 and will load there, completing at Newcastle, for Auckland, Napier arid Lyttelton. WAIPAHI AT RAROTONGA. Cabled advice from Rarotonga states that the Union Company's steamer Waipahi arrived there from Auckland at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. She is to load fruit in the Cook Islands for Auckland. RUAPEHU TO SAIL. To fill -up with general and refrigerated cargo for London, the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Kuapebu is to sail at noon to-morrow for Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Kanna sailed last night for Westport and Greymouth. At the latter port she is to load for. Auckland. The Waimea arrived at Napier from Gisborne at 10 p.m. yesterday, and -was expected to clear there for Auckland at 1 p.m. to-day.
