WATSON—ASHWORTH.
The wedding of Miss Ida Beryl Ashworth, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Ashworth, of Te Tora, Waiuku, to Mr. Harold Foster Watson, eldest son of Mrs. Watson, of Waipipi, was celebrated at the Pitt Street Methodist Ohurch yesterday afternoon. The Bev. W. S. 2Seai, of Waiuku, performed the ceremony. The bride wore a three tiered ivory georgette, with cluster of blossoms on the shoulder. A tulle ehibroidered veil formed the train, and was held in place by a plaited silver twist of tissue, and ear clusters of blossom. She carried a white shower bbuquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Nellie Ashworth, wore an air force blue georgette, with picture hat, and carried a blue bouquet. A little flower girl, Joy Livick, was in apricot crepe de chine, blue straw hat, and carried a Victorian posy. The best man was Mr. R. Watson. The reception was held at the Farmers' new tea rooms. The bride's mother wore navy marocain and blue hat. The bridegroom's mother wore ctel blue crepe fleuri, relieved with beige, and blue felt hat. CHIPLIN—PEARSON. The wedding of Edna Estelle, second daughter of Mr. ahd Mrs. P. A. Pearson, of Claudelands, Hamilton, to Edward John, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Chiplin, Wairda Avenue, Birkcnhead, was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church yesterday. Canon Grant Cowen performed the ceremony, and Mr. Philpot presided at the organ. The bride wore a draped white Bouple satin, with large spray of orange blossoms at the waist-line. The embroidered circular veil was held in place by a chaplet of orange blossom buds, and she carried a bridal shower bouquet. The bridesmaids in attendance were the Misses Caroline Catchpole (Hamilton) and Iris Pearson, the bride's sister, Their frocks were fashioned alike in mode and colour of eau de nil tiered georgette, with satin bodices. Picture hats of felt had narrow lace brims, and 1 primrose-toned bouquete completed their toilettes. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. G. Lawson, and the groomsman was Mr. Harvey Chiplin. The wedding tea was served in Cooke's banquet hall, the tables boing arranged in shades of pink stocks, with a pure white wedding bell suspended over the bridal pair. Mrs. Pearson received in a navy silk and georgette ensemble, with "blue Bangkok hat.
