HABEAS CORPUS APPEAL.
HEARING NEXT TUESDAY.
The hearing of an appeal by Cecil Hazlett, a wealthy eheepfariner, of North Taicri, near Dunedin, against a judgment of Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court at Auckland, in which hie Honor dismissed an application for a writ of hubeas corpus and found that Hazletfs committal to the Kotoroa Inebriates' Home was legal, will come before the Court of Appeal at Wellington on Tuesday next. Mr. J. J. Sullivan will appear for the appellant and Mr. A. H. Johnstone for the authorities.
