The suggestions and proposals being discussed by tho special committee concerned only senior clubs and their control. Permission was granted for the staging next month at Papaknra of a challenge match between the Kingsland third intermediate team and the Ponsonby third open team. Tho secretary (Mr. Davis) reported that Richmond had won the second grade championship, and Ponsonby the knock-ont. Ponsonby won the "double , ' of the third open grade, while Kingsland captured t'ao intermediate lanrels. th* knocfeout honours going to Xewmarket. Richmond, with two games to play, were leading Akarana by six points in tlu> fourth grade. Mnrists wen , winners of both competitions in the fifth grade. In the sixth Point Chevalier had a lead of two points from City, but both teams had two games to play. If unbeaten Point Chevalier will win the double, which had fallen to Richmond in the seventh grade. On Saturday at Carlaw Park Richmond won the. primary schools' championship by defeating Akarana (Parnell). by 11 points to 3.
