STOLEN MOTOR CARS.
A great deal las been ■written in y oy P columns in connection with the infliction, of heavy penalties on the purloiners of motor; cars.- I respectfully suggest as a part cure that a -punishment should be meted out to those motor car owners.who neglect to operate their locking devices, also others who have not efficient. locking systems embodied in mechanism of their vehicles. While on tie subject of. prevention, if those shopkeepers who expose goods for sale outside their premises were also penalised for doing eo there is no doubt that the number of prosecutions for the theft? of the goods so displayed v.craM show a considerable falling off.
