SYDNEY WOOL SALES. STRONG COMPETITION. . . -', SYDNEY, September 16. At the Sydney wool sales to-day the offerings 'were 11,692 bales, of which 10,995 were sold, also 3437 bales which were offered privately. There was strong general competition with a hardening tendency for quality wools. Continental and Japanese buyers again were very keen operators. . Greasy Merino sold to 15% d. . ■ 'wheat.
