CAN YOU "SEE?"

TEST OF OBSERVATION. NOVEL "STAR" COMPETITION: FIGURE IN PHOTOGRAPH. PRIZE; OF 10/ OFFERED. Are you observant, or do you merely go through., a day seeing "as through a glass darkly?" Or to put the question in another way, have you an imagination which sees beyond exteriors, which can put two and two together and make four? . ~ The competition which will appear in the "Star" next Friday will help you to determine your powers of observation. It will be the first of a series of photographs- depicting merely an individual in the act of doing something. The background will be eliminated, but the one person will be untouched. Now the puzzle; is to discover exactly what that person was doing when the photograph was.taken, whether he wae, for example, stepping into a tram or washing his dog. There will be sufficient evidence in the picture to make: the solution possible, but' When the would-be eofyer comes to the problem he will quickly find just how Observant he is.
