PIGEON FLYING.
NORTH SHORE CLUB,
The North Shore Pigeon Glub contested an old bird race from Tanmarunui, an airline distance of 144 miles, for a prize presented by Mr. S. Wynyard. The race was flown in ideal weather, the birds recording a good velocity. Mr. F. Roman's, w c Jack Johnson was adjudged the winner and credited with the velocity of 1383 yds per.minute.
