Mr. Bruce McLachlan, aged 40 years, a well-known farmer, of Bogside, near Doyleston, was killed late on Saturday afternoon when a driviug belt from a fraction engine, wliicli lie was operating in conjunction with a saw bench, came off, wrapped itself round his chest, and threw him into the machinery.
