CLUB TITLES. WEEK-END COMPETITIONS. AUCKLAND DEFEATS HAMILTON* A return match was played between -members- of the Auckland and Hamilton Golf Clubs at Middlemorc on Saturday. Singles' were played in the morning and four-ball matches jn the afternoon. Auckland winning the former by 10 games to 2, and also the four-ball competition by 6 games to 0 The course was in excellent order. Following were the results. ' The final of the Otahuhu Golf Club's senior championship over 30 holes resulted in a win for IL. Croxson who beat H. .T. Levy 4 and 3. Croxson started off scratchily in the morning and lost the first two holes. The third was halved in fours, ■while Oroxson won the next with a three. The next hole won was tlie sixth, where Oroxson, after a 'magnificent drive, found the Manukau with his second, iLevy getting a well played four to- bo again two up. Tlie next hole was halved, Croxson. taking the ninth, after which two more halves, followed, Croxson winning the next two holes to be one up for the first time. He soon lost the lead, however, for he missed a two-foot putt at.the sixteenth, to be again all square. Croxson won the next two with two perfect fours to' finish the morning round with a lead of 2 up. In the afternoon it was Levy who started off badly. Croxson taking the first two holes to be four up at the twentieth. This was the state of the game at the twenty-,; seventh, being increased to nvc up with six to play at ■ the thirtieth. Levy won the next in 3 after lipping tlie hole for a 2, hut the end Came at the next, where Levy missed a six-foot putt to Keep the game olive. ■ ■ • ' Croxson's driving was a feature of the match, but in spite of this Levy's accurate approaching made the game full of Interest. Both players were round in 80 in the morning, while bogey figures for the three unplayed holes in the afternoon would have given Croxson a 76. The final of the junior championship over IS holes resulted in a win. for E. .T. Logan, who beat B. O. Heather 1 up. This was a very evenly contested game. Logan being 1 up at the sixteenth. Heather was very unlucky not' to square - the match at the seventeenth, where he failed to negotiate > a half stymie. Both reached the green in 3 at the eighteenth, but Heather failed to hole a six-foot putt, enabling ixigan to get a half and the match. PUKEKOHE V. WAIUKU. A four-bail he.st-ball match between members of' the Waiuku and Pukekohe (JoK Clubs was played on the Pukekohe links on Saturday. The home team won by four games to one.
