After much discussion a constitution was adopted and the following committee waf set up to carry on until the first general meeting:— Messrs. A. P. Harper V. B. Hoggard, C. J. Thornton, S. A. Wiren, J. ±i. Silson, L. 0. Hooker, R. G. Murie and T. G. Mace

The conference passed a unanimous resolution that it strongly supported Mr. Harper in his endeavour to procure some regulation to provide for the licensing of alpine guides as an essential safeguard in the interests of all climbers, and requested Mm-to hand "this resolution to the conference called by the Government on the guide question.
