Up-to-date radio reception in and around Newcastle has not been all that it should be. The relay station will solve the radio reception problem in the north or the State, and one or the outcomes of 3NC will be that for a distance of 25 miles good crystal reception will be received by listeners. T!he crystal range, it is estimated, Avill serve 200,000 people. The improvement in service to listeners with the advent of 2NC will greatly encourage the wireless industry. Thousands or NeAv South Wales listeners will be gained, and the Australian Broadcasting Company rrom time to time will provide programmes rrom 2NC which will be relayed throug-h either 2FC or 2BL from the 'best talent available in Newcastle. Amongst local talent there is the NeAvcastlc Symphony Orchestra, the NeAvcastle Steel 'Works Band, the Newcastle Choral Society, the NeAA'castle Revue. Revellers, all AA'ell knoAvn, and which have been broadcast through the A.B.C. stations. 21VC should be audible in the Dominion.
