Two natives, .lack Coleman and Nej»ia Porikopa, fought in the main street on Saturday afternoon, with the result -hat both crashed through a, plateplass window in a shop. Porikopa was sent, to hospital, where several stitches were inserted in his arm. and Coleman sustained a cut on the back of his head. The sequel occurred in the Opotiki Court this morning, when both men were charged with lighting. They were lined £•") each. Porikopa was also ordered to pay medical expenses. On a second charge of wilfully breaking a shop window, the property of Shalfoon Bros., valued at £14. the men were remanded.
