NEW BRANCH AT ONGARUE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, Saturday. A meeting of farmers in the Ongarue district, was convened by Mr. J. Caird and held Ir. the Ongarue Hall, recently, when a branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union was formed. Tire following officers were elected:—President, Mr. J. E. Getnmell: vice-presidents. Messrs. A. G. Thoms and H. L. McMillan; secretary, Mr. J. Caird; committee. Messrs. Barber. Middleton, Reading, Audrey and Knight.
