PERSONAL.
The Hon. A. S. Malcolm, M.L.C., arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. Air. W. Appleton, general manager of the Haines Advertising Co., is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. H. S. Jenkinson, acting locomotive engineer for the North Island, arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. _ Mr. H. T. King and Mr. E. Smith left for Wellington last evening to attend a meeting of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand. Mr. J. S. Brigham (Town Clerk), Mr. J. Tyler (City Engineer) and Mr. J. Stanton (City Solicitor) left for Wellington last evening on City Council business. Mr. G. Baildon, Mayor of Auckland, and Mr. A. E. Ford, "general manager of the Transport Board, will return by the Maunganui to-morrow from Aus"tralia, where they attended the Transport Conference "held in Brisbane last month.
