In a series of niajeties__ played between ladies representing t£s >v nangarei and Dargaville Goir Ciuos during the weekend, the Dartraville Club was saecesstul in winning 10 matches to Whangarei's 3. In spite of rather treacherous weather conditions, the visitors expressed themselves very well pleased with the appointments on Dar•zarville's new golf course, the club house, and the arrangements made for their entertainment. Results are as follow (Dargaville names first) :— Singles.—Mrs. W. Beattie beat Mrs. Garup and 2; Mrs. PL Lloyd beat Mrs. Reynolds, 2up and 1: Mrs. 5. Colmore Williams beat beat Mrs. Glanville. 3 up and 1; Miss P. Harding beat Mrs. (Dr.) Ward. 4 up and 2; Mrs. E. W. Toogood beat Mrs. Robertson, 2 up and 1: Mrs. C. H. Crump lost to Mrs. Ratcliffe, 2 down and 1; Miss G. Toogood lost to Mrs. McLeod. 2 down and 1; Mrs. G. S. Mitchell beat Mrs. Donaldson, 2up and 1; Miss Harding beat Mrs. Higginson. 2 np and 1: Miss Reid lost to Mrs. Collins, 2 down and 1 ; Mrs. F. Gould lost to Mrs. Long, 3 down and 2; Mrs. W. G. Smith lost to Mrs. Marshall, 7 down and 1: Mrs. Tremain lost to Mrs. Stephens, 3 down.
