POLICE COURT REMANDS.

TWO CHARGES OF STEALING

Pleading not guilty to two charges. one of stealing an electric motor horn, valued at 30/, and the other of stealing a quantity of crockery, three silver salad bowls and a door lock, valued at £3, the property of a theatre, Gunnar Paulsen, an American organist, aged 2S (Mr. R. A. Singer), was remanded until September 12 by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.. in the Police Court this morning. Chief Detective Hammond, who prosecuted, said another charge was pending against Paulsen.

Bail was fixed at £2.5. A remand was also granted in the case of Constance Louisa, Fleming, alias Clements, a domestic, aged 32, who was charged with being drunk in Fanshawe Street, and with obtaining liquor during the currency of a prohibition order.

Sub-Inspector Shanahan said Fleming was in hospital. She was remanded to appear on September 1-3.
