FIRST REARED AT WHANG ARE!

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. . During the "week-end the Whangarei Acclimatisation Society liberated 75.000 trout fry. the first to be reared in the society's new hatchery on the Maunu stream. The work of liberation was undertaken by members of the society. Several streams were stocked, including the upper reaches of the Kaimamakau, Kauri and Maunu. There are still in hand about 50,000 fry, which will be freed in the near future.
