TEAM FOR ISLAND TOUR.
THE WELLINGTON MATCH.
The Auckland Rugby touring team which will leave Auckland on Thursday evening and play matches against Wanganui, Manawhenua,' Wellington, Bush Districts and Hawke's Bay has been selected by Mr. G. Nicholson ae follows: — Full-back.—R. G. Bush (Training College). Three-quarters. —W. Jones (Manukau), A. Berridge (City), J. Connolly (Training College). Five-eighths.—R. Haslam (Technical), A. Jamieson (Poneonby), G. L. Weir (Grammar). Half-back.—M. Corner (Grammar). Rover.-—F. .-Solomon (Ponsonby). Forwards.—B. Palmer (Ponsonby), S. Hadley (Marist), A. Knight (Grammar), E. Kahu (Manukau), A, Finlayeon (Grafton), K. D. Anderson (University), C. Satherley (Manukau), H. Barnes (City), F. Gallaher (Ponsonby). 11l view of the very strong team which Wellington has this year, it is. hoped to get Lucae, Hook, McWilliams and Baity away as reinforcements for that game on Saturday week. The matches of the tour are:— August IC—v. Wanganui. August 20—v. Manawhenua (Palmeretpn). August 23—v. Wellington. August 27—v. Bush Districts (Pahiatoaj. August JO—v. Hawke'e Bay. The following team has been chosen to represent Auckland againet North Auckland at Eden Park on Saturday:— ■ Full-back.—V. C. Butler (University). Three-quarters.—L. Hook, F. W. Lucas (Poneonby), R. Couper (Technical). Five-eighths. —C. Cammick (Ponsonby), G. Wales (Marathon). Half-back.-—T. Conway (Marist). Rover.—P.'Potter (Grammar). Forwards.—G. 'Heyward (Ponsonby), R. Douglas (University), L. Knight (Grammar), S. Locke (Marist), R. G. McWilliame (Poneoriby), W. Batty (Grammar), R. Hardy (Ponsonby). Emergencies.—Pickering, Souter, Dodd (College Rifles), Both teams are requested to attend the Ponsonby training shed this evening at 8.30.
