PIGEON FLYING
WAITEMATA CLUB.
The above club contested a race from Te Awamutu, an airline distance of 8G miles, and, owing to very adverse conditions, the race proved to be a hard one over the distance, resulting in only two members clocking in arrivals on the day of liberation. The birds wore liberated by the stationmaster at 11.30 a.m. The winning bird, Mr. H. ID. Crowliiu'st's white cock White Ensign 11. regained its loft in Stanley Bay at 8.30 p.m.. proving an easy winner by a considerable margin. Details: — . ■Mr. H. E. Crowhurst's w c White Ensign 11.
