Captain I. R. WiLhell, who has been staying at Hotel Ventnor, Devonport, has returned to Wellington.
Mr. T. Hartigan, chief chemist for tlis Shell Oil Co. of Australia, Ltd., will arrive by the Aorangi to-morrow on a tour of the Dominion.
Mr. J. Farrell, Auckland manager for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., returned from the South yesterday.
Archdeacon W. J. Simkin, secretary of the Anglican General Synod and of the Auckland diocese, returned yesterday from a visit to Wellington on church business.
Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Smith, of Auckland, and late of Frankton, left by the Tofua this morning on an extended tour of the Islands. Tliey are accompanied by their two sons, Messrs. M. and K. Fraser Smith. Mi-. C. M. Malfroy, of the State Forest Service, Wellington, who was injured in a motor accident on July 24, is still in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital. He will probably be discharged hi about a week.
