RAIN HOLDS UP PLAY,

LONDON, August 7
The weather at Birmingham was fine this morning but the wicket was soft and therefore there was no play before luncheon in the cricket match Australia v. Warwickshire. Owing to further heavy rain play was abandoned for the day.
