CRASH AND CARRY.
Bandits' Daring Daylight Haul
In Piccadilly.
JEWELLER'S SHOP RAIDED
LONDON, August 7,
A daring coup was carried out by motor bandits in Piccadilly at the height of the luncheon hour crush yesterday. Two men drove up to a jeweller's shop, broko the window with a sledgo hammer and escaped with thousands of pounds' worth of jewellery.
When the shop .assistants tried to rush out of the shop to give chase they discovered that the door was securely fastened with a rope.
In the meanwhile the bandits had driven away speedily in their car scattering the crowds and being lost in the traffic.
