NORTH AUCKLAND HOUSE BURNED.

When C. Hoey leased a house in Whau Valley from M. Sinclair, of Kamo, he shifted his furniture in and intended to take up residence after his marriage next week. At 1 o'clock this morning the neighbours noticed a glare in the neighbourhood of the unoccupied house. The building was discovered burning so strongly that intervention was useless. The house was insured for £525, but the furniture was not covered.
FIRE AT KARAKA. DESTRUCTION OF HOUSE, A two-roomed house in Ostrich Road, Karaka, near Waiuku, owned and occupied by Mr. R. S. Moore, was turned to the ground about ten o'clock this morning. The building was insured for £90 with the New ZealandTnsurance Co.
