WAIKATO CLUB.
OCTOBER PROGRAMME ALTERED
The executive of the Waikato Trotting Club met at Hamilton yesterday when the following nominations were received for six vacancies on the executive: Messrs. A. Livingstone, Campbell. Johnstone, T. Clarkin, C. Christie, M. McKendry and D. D. Wilson. An election will not be necessary.
Two alterations were made in the programme for the meeting to be held on October 11. The Claudelands Handicap was altered to 1£ miles, instead of two miles, with a three-'minute limit, while the Stewards' Handicap of one mile was changed from 2. 10 to 2. 18. The retirement of Mr. 11. E. Tristram, a foundation member of the club, from the committee was the subject of reference by the president, Mr. H. W. Bui'ch. A resolution was placed on record expressing the committee's appreciation of the long and valuable scrvice rendered by Mr. Tristram and wishing him long enjoyment of the privileges of life membership.
