BRIGHTER LEAGUE.
THE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
TO-MORROW'S ATTRACTIONS.
POX SOX BY* TO PLAY MAIUST
Brighter League should be seen at Carlaw Parle to-morrow, when three matches v.ill lie played in the senior competition. The principal game of the day will be the meeting of Ponsonby and Marist, and much hinges on the clash. Should victory rest with suburbs, Ponies will hold practically an unassailable position on the championship ladder. A win for the wearers of the green, 011 the other hand, might necessitate a play ofl' between Poiiscnby and City. Both teams are playing fast open football, and have forwards which team with their fleet backs. Judging by recent form, there should not be a great deal between them in the end. The curtain-raiser will bo provided by Dcvonport and City, and another excellent game should be the result. On No. 2 ground, Ellerslie will engage the Improved Kingsland-Athlctics thirteen, and honours should rest with the latter, who gave a good display against Richmond last week. Out 011 the Domain Richmond will try conclusions with Newton, and an evenly contested match should be the issue. Senior B and lower grade competitions will be further advanced.
