INSURANCE BALL.

A bright and merry scene was presented at Dixieland last evening when the Insurance Officers' Benevolent Fund held their fifth annual ball. There was a splendid attendance of dancers, who thoroughly appreciated the excellent music supplied, many of the latest dance numbers being featured. Palms and greenery were arranged in the vestibule where supper was served, and on the tables were masses of orange and golden Iceland poppies. Other supper tables, similarly decorated, were set up in the Winter Garden. During the evening exhibition dances were given by Paulo and Pavette, who were received with rounds of applause.
