DEATH FROM SCALDS.
FINNED UNDER ENGINE.
MARRIED MAN SUCCUMBS'
The death occurred in the Auckland Hospital last evening of Mr. Robsou Mackwood, aged 42, of Great North Road, Western Springs, who was reported to have been severely scalded by steam when the locomotive' on which he was working overturned 011 the railway line near Maliia at noon yesterday.
Mr. Mackwood's condition was critical when he was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, and he died eight hour,-5 later. He was married and had a family of six, all under ten years -of age.
