PROJECTED PROGRAMME.

The Secretary of the Navy; Mr. C. F Adams, said yesterday the Navy would immediately undertake exhaustive | study, designed to formulate a building programme in the light of the treaty. Work would be continued on the 10,000-ton cruisers now .projected, but it was expcctcd that nothing would be clone toward the construction of other types of ships until the programme had been prepared, I
