TENNIS CLUB DANCE.
An atmosphere 'or gaiety prevailed at tlio Click Clack Cabaret last evening when the Auckland Lawn Tennis Club held its annual dance. Blue and gold shaded streamers, arranged in festoons in the dance room, gave a distinctive effect, whilst downstairs, on the tables in the lounge, were vases containing I yellow jonquils and large stands in which golden wattle had been artistically arranged. During the evening a novelty dance was given by Miss Joyce Wright, and an exhibition of the "skaters' waltz" and the "modern quickstep" were given by Miss Bettina Edwards and Mr. Crawford JSTorris. Excellent music was given, many of the latest numbers being played. Lady members of the committee present were: Mrs. H. Richards, who wore a frock of palm green taffeta with French applique at waist; Mrs. E. Verran, black taffeta with floral taffeta inlet in full skirt; Miss I. Abdallali, floral velvet and net; Miss G. Steane, scarlet flounced georgette; Miss Daisy Wickes, black georgette beaded in jet and crystal. Among those who were present were: Mrs. R. S. Burt, who. wore a frock of ivory sprigged lame; Mrs. Fletcher-Jones, tinsel brocaded frock; Mrs. J. C. Finlay, black moire velvet; Mrs. E. Heigliway, black velvet relieved with gold velvet; Mrs. C. Meikle, orchid mauve georgette and lace; Mrs. H. R. Tyler, lilac taffeta; Mrs. F. Claret, palest pink moire frock; Mrs. W. G. Mansell, sunkist pink georgette with beaded embroideries; Mrs. Byrch, black'lace frock; Mrs. L.. Kingsland, almond chenille georgette; Mrs. Marrot, lame corsage and skirt of black georgette; Mrs. Mann, silver tinsel and pastel green chiffon; Mrs. F. Chambers, black georgette; Miss Mona Craig, gold taffeta frock; Miss Z. Hutter, leaf green georgette; Miss Edna Ballantyne, eau de nil moire with net bands at hem; Miss Gretta Herron, flame flounced georgette; Miss Syvia Norrie, shell pink georgette with crystal embroideries; Miss Doreen D'Authreau, flame coloured moire; Miss L. Waite, black lace over flame satin; j Miss D. Kennan, white georgette; Miss J. Moore, leaf green taffeta; Miss Whittaker, black georgette with crystal embroideries ; Miss T. Rountree, palest pink taffeta; Miss Norah Flynn, gold lame corsage with pastel georgette skirt; Miss Elaine Robb, chartreuse green moire; Miss M. Davis, lime chartreuse; j Miss Taylor, black georgette; Miss Schischka, frock of gold lace; Miss Read, floral and green georgette; Miss Olive Clarke,j brique red chiffon and moire; Miss Joyce Wright, deep cream embossed chenille georgette; Miss Leila Maher, flame georgette with gold lace inlet; Migs Molly Simmonds, turquoise blue satin and net; Miss Bettina Edwards, silver lame; Miss Doris CI eland,' cream satin and lace; Miss Trigg, palest pink chiffon; Miss Nora Adams, rose pink georgette frock; Miss Gane,. palest fuchsia tinted georgette; Miss Cappie,. black lace . with embroideries; Miss Edwina Foote, pink taffeta with full skirt and brocaded coatee; Miss 0. Abdallah, sea-foam green georgette; Miss Delamore, ring velvet pattern in floral design; Miss D. Harrison, Chinese green georgette with frilled skirt; Miss.D. Dixon, red georgette; Miis M. Adams, black moire velvet with diamante embroideries; Miss Olga Reid, faring green georgette frock.
