ALL-ROUND TAX INCREASES.
Ten Per Cent on Income Tax Expected; New Levy on Films.
AMUSEMENT AND "TOTE" TO PAY MORE
The "Auckland Star " to-day is able to publish a forecast of the Budget, which will be delivered this evening by the Minister of Finance. Mr. Forbes, it is believed, will impose all-round increases in taxation, including the income tax. This course has been forced on him because, after making drastic administrative economies, a considerable remains. In his desire to spread the burden as widely as possible, Mr. Forbes -is expected to propose that practically every tax be increased.
