DR. ADAMS' REMARKS.
"EITHER SUBSTANTIATE OB RETRACT."
ASHBURTON UNION'S ATTITUDE,
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.')
ASHBURTON, this day,
The Ashburton Rugby Union decided to write to the New Zealand Union taking strongest exception to the remarks made by Dr. Adams in reference to the Timaru match, and that Dr. Adams, in justice to the local players, be asked to make definite charges against the players, and be prepared either to substantiate or unreservedly withdraw them.
The union desired to know where Dr. Adams got the information that a certain Ashburton. player should not have been allowed to take part in the match.
