■ Mr. S. Vickers lias been re-elected chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board. Mr. T. A. Barrett, of the Indo-Burnia Petroleum Company, accompanied by Mrs. Barrett, arrived at Auckland by the Maunganiri yesterday on a holiday visit to New Zealand. Mr. M. H. Wynyard, motorist's representative on the Main Highways Board, left last evening for Wellington to attend a meeting of the board. Mr. J. A. Young, M.P. for Hamilton, who has been in Wellington on Parliamentary business, returned to Fraukton by the Limited this morning. ■ Ut', A. S. Wansborough, designing eflgjiuior In tho chief engineer's office, WMJngton, arrived in Auckland by the JAmHM express this morning. The Jtt, Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, arrived in Auckland this i morning and ia staying at the Grand Hotel. Ho will leave for Wellington either to-morrow or on Friday.
