WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.

BLACKER—HAROLD. The marriage of Miss Alice Harold, of Leeds, England, to Mr. Frank Blacker, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Blacker, of Bristol, England, was celebrated at St. Mark's Church, Te Aroha. The Eev. E. L. Connolly officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Boy Trebilco, wore a frock of beige crepe de chine trimmed with lace, with beige hat. She carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Miss Eileen Leonards was bridesmaid and Mr. Yal Martin -best man. QUIREE—CHARLES. The wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick's Cathedral on June 4, of Ellen Mary Charles, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Charles, of Kakahu, Geraldine, South Canterbury, and James Joseph Quirke, third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Quirke, of Orari, Canterbury. The Eev. Dr. Buxton, M.A., performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her father and wore net and silver lace over satin and a tulle veil with orange blossoms and silver. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and cream chrysanthemums. Miss Margaret Charlec, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore daffodil eatin and georgette with hat to tone. She carried a mauve bouquet. Mr. Pat Quirke, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony the reception was held in Eendell's tearooms. BARKER—HENDERSON. The wedding was celebrated at the Salvation Army Hall, Devonport, of Miss Hazel Jean, third daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. John Henderson, of Devonport, to Mr. David Albert Barker, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Barker, of Masterton, Wairarapa. The ceremony was conducted by Captain Dick, of Whangarei, and the wedding march was played by Miss Euth Parker, of Devonport. Tne hall was decorated by Mrs. Captain Dick and friends of the bride. The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. W. Scott, of Mangere, and was attended by her sister, Miss Chris. Henderson, and Miss Ellie Gillanders as bridesmaids The bridegroom was assisted by Mr. Courtney C. Manning, of Auckland, as best man, and Mr. Elwyn Fairbrother, of Masterton, as groomsman. The bride carried a shower bouquet of white and pale pink roses, chrysanthemums, azaleas and maidenhair fern, while the bridesmaids' bouquets were of pale pink and mauve and autumn shades respectively. Mrs. J. Henderson wore blue souffle de soie and hat to tone, to receive the guests at the Windsor Tea Eooms. She carried a posy of orange tints. St. James' Presbyterian Church, Pukekohe, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when the Bev. J. Pattison officiated." The contracting parties were Miss Euby E. McWatt, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. McWatt, of Pukekohe, and Mr. Thomas D. Bray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bray, of Portsmouth, England. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. J. L. McWatt. The wedding was celebrated at the Beresford Street Congregational Church, Auckland, on Wednesday evening, of Miss Ida Jack, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Jack, of Eaetihi, and Mr. John Beresford Edmonds, of Helensville, fourth son of Mrs. S. J. Edmonds, Queen Street, Xorthcote. The Eev. Lionel B. Fletcher performed the ceremony, and Mr. Graham Edwards played the wedding music. The banner of -the Beresford Street C.E. Society -was hung over the pulpit. The bride, who was given away by her father, was in white crepe de chine, dipping at the sides. Her veil, of worked Brussels net, formed a long train, and was held by a spray of orange blossoms. The dress was fathered at the waist with a diamante buckle. A coronet of orange blossoms was worn on the head. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Nell Jack was bridesmaid, in pale blue crepe de chine, with a flared- skirt and tulle headdress to match, finished with pink rosebuds. After the ceremony Mrs. Jack received the •mests at Nairn's reception rooms, ihe bride's mother wore navy blue crepe de chine, relieved with'fawn, under a navy blue coat trimmed with fur, with hat to match. The bridegroom's mother wore black silk, with hat to match. RIDDELL—BAILEY. A picturesque wedding took place this afternoon at St. Aidan's Church, Kemuera, when Hope, only and Mrs. W. Bailey, ot Vauxhall Road, Devonport, became the wife ot Henry, son of Mrs. G. Riddell, of Keriken, Bay of Islands. The Rev. H. A. Coleman performed the ceremony, and Mr. Morton presided at the organ. The bride was idven away by her father, and wore a Sarchment-toned ankle-length ring velvet The two-tiered skirt had a bowand ends on one side, the bodice was lace Yoked, and t was pouched into the waist". Mr. Ales Eiddell was best man. The reception was held at Hotel Cargen, Mrs. Bailey receiving the guests in black petalled geor<Tette,°witk lace pan els > and coatee appliqued in velvet, autumn toned flowers; black hat, silver fox furs and shower bouquet completed her toilette.
