BRITAIN'S OVERSEAS TRADE.
RETURNS FOR MAY. LONDON, June 13. The Board of Trade returns! show that imports decreased £12,385,000 exports £16,424,000, and re-exports £1,385,UUU. Principal decreases were:—lmports: brain and flour, £1,461,000; non-dutiable food and drink, £1,681,000; raw cotton, £1,907,000; raw wool, £2,874,000. Exports: Iron and steel manufactures, £1,772,UUU, machinery, £1,057.000; cotton yarns and manufactures, £4,481,000; woollen yarns and manufactures, £1,766,000. May In Late Years. From the brief particulars cabled, it would appear that the slackness indicated has spread over a wide field of manufactures.
