FACILITIES FOR AUCKLAND
WITNESSES,
A deputation from the Auckland Retail Fruiterers' Association wanted on tho Hon. P. A. de -la Perrelle, Minister .ot Industries and Commerce, this monung at Hotel Cargcii and asked that the committee of inquiry that was to be set up to inquire into the selling prices of fruit 'in New Zealand should sit in Auckland, or in the alternative, if it must sit.m Wellington, then that railway facilities might be granted Auckland witnesses. The deputation comprised M.i\ V*. * Shearer (president), Mr. B. Bunn,JμClem All Chee, and Mr. H. &. btaiey (secretary). Another point touched on by the members of the deputation was the constitution of the committee, iiiey did not favour a Parliamentary ■committee, and would prefer that it consist of outside persons. • .
