BENEFIT CONCERT.
There was a large attendance at a Bucceessful concert held in the Congress Hall, Grey Avenue, on Monday night, in aid of Major Gordon's Samaritan Fund.' •, ' '•• . . Choral items were rendered by the choir of the young people's Christian Temperance ft Union, assisted by the Salvation Army. There were also vocal items by Miss L. Braithwaite, Miss D. Logan, Miss R. Gibson, Miss G. Evans, Mrs. Hersey, Mrs. J. Litherland, Mr. S. C. Williams, Mr. J. Clarkgon, and Mr. V. Wils6n. A pianoforte solo was played by Miss P. Wallace, and selections were rendered by the Salvation Army Silver Band.
