TUTOR SHOT.
Murder and Suicide of College
Student.
DETECTIVE WOUNDED.
(Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 3.
After a. week's absence,.D. M. Potts, a student of King's College, wounded a detective in the shoulder and leg with a revolver, then shot dead his tutor, A. P. Wollaston, F.R.G.S., finally turning the revolver against himself. He died subsequently in hospital. The detective is expected to recover. Mr. Wollaston was interviewing Potts in the presence of the detective the tragedy was enacted. It is understood that Potts was being interrogated regarding his absence without leave.
