LONDON WOOL SALES.
PRICES HIGHER
The Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following advice from their London house, dated May 30:— Wool Sales.—As compared With last sales closing rates prices are higher, about 5 per cent for fine crossbreds, Merinos, lambs and faulty. Prices are higher about 5 to Vh per cent for crossbred lambs, greasy Merino, super and scoured Merino super; higher about 7Ms to 10 per cent for jcoarse scoured crossbred, coarse crossbred, elipe, medium crossbred elipe, and medium scoured crossbred; higher about 10 per cent. for scoured Merino, medium and inferior; higher 10 to 15 per cent for medium greasy Merino, and coarse and medium greasy crossbred; about 15 per cent higher for crossbred slipe clothing. Sales closed firmly to-day. America is buying suitable lots of crossbreds. The prices realised for average to grades of descriptions as below were as follow:— Merino, super, 13Msd to IsMjd; Merino average, lid to 12% d; crossbred, 56's to 58's, 12d to 15d; 50's to 56's, llMsd to 13Mjd; 48's to 50's, llMsd to 12M>d; 46's to 48's, lid to 12d; 44's to 46's, lOMtd to ll%d; 40's to 44's, lOd to lid; 36's to 40's, 9d to lid.
