MINING NEWS.
New Waotahl.—We have driven 6 fee* for the week in :3rm, heavily mineralised sandstone country, showing jasper and flintles. The indications ahe splendid, and a little water is coming from the fface. Moanataiarl. —Crosscut through No. 1 reef north a further 3ft and I think the last holes bored into the hangingwall. The quartz broken is well mineralised and is carrying a little zinc blende and pyrites. We drove Bft south on No. 2 reef. The reef is 3Jft wide, is heavily mineralised, and colours of gold have been seen in the ore broken. Tui. —The necessary timbers have been put in position, and work commenced rising on No. 2 reef to intersect »the junction of this reef and the dropper that is show-, ing in the main crosscut.
