FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES.

FIRMER MARKET. AUSTRALIANS ADVANCE. Although only one sale was recorded at the first call on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning, bidding was marked by a confident tone, particularly in regard to Australian securities. Thus buyers tor Commercial Banks opened with offers of £1 1/10, and for Australian Bank of Commerce £15/ was offered. In the miscellaneous class the same trend was noted, and for Electro. Zincs there were buyers for the ordinaries at £1 4/9 and for the prefs. at £1 7/. Wilsons Cements were quoted ex div., with buyers at £2 3/3. Government stocks were unaltered. The Noon Call. Business continued quiet, and only two sales, both of Auckland Gas, were recorded at the noon call. That of the ordinary shares at £1 i/V/2 represented the highest level reached since January, and a similar remark applies to the sale of contributing at 18/. Commercial Banks eased a fraction, with buvers back to £1 1/9, but Union advanced, and had buyers at £11 13/. Goldsbrough, Morts were also firmer, and buyers offered £1 12/3.
