PRIZE-GIVING DANCE.
The annual prize-giving and dance held by the North Shore Rowing Club took piace in the Parish Hall, at Devonport, last evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with crossed oars and nikau palms placed against the side walls of the hall and blue and white .streamers, hung ■ from the- ceiling. Stacey's orchestra played the dance music. ' The trophies were', arranged on a table in fr.on'; of the stage and were later presented by Mr. Alex. Harris, M.P,. who was introduced by Mr. Cassels-Browne; president of the club. Supper was .served downstairs, where the decorations were in the club's colours of blue and white. The members of the committee present were: —Mrs. T. C. Farquharson, who wore a frock of black embossed georgette with gold lame shoulder flower; Mrs. Butland, sea crreen and-black beaded georgette; Mis. Brav, black brocaded satin; Miss Tat'ton, ecru lace over flame satin with shoulder flower to tone; Miss Char man, black ring velvet with diamante buckle.
