Owners of now yearlings should not overlook the fact that it is in their interests to nominate for the 1931 Great Northern Derby, one of the few classics in the trotting sport in the Dominion. The stake is £1000, and it costs only £1 to nominate, which must be done before 5 p.m. on Friday next, with the secretary of the Auckland Trotting Club, Mr. A. G. Mabee. *
