POSITION IN WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, Monday. Following on the reccnt break in tlie Port Nicholson Amateur Road Cycling Club, both sections of the club opened the season on the same day, and have since been conducting races. One of the sections wrote to the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association asking for the cancellation of its affiliation, adding that it was now affiliated to the New Zealand Union of •Cyclists. The letter was referred to the council of the Amateur Athletic Association, which met this evening. The question of cancellation of affiliation waß held over for the present, and the council passed a motion suspending all registered cyclists and officials who had taken part or assisted in any way in races run by the New Zealand Union of Cyclists. The Wellington Centre is to be notified of this wholesale suspension, and is to be asked for a list of those concerned. The suspended men will be asked to show cause within a fortnight why they should not bo disqualified. The motion was moved by Mr. E. Guy, who said that the only course for the council was the same as it took with the offending Manukau Club.
