Mr. Alex S. Reid, writing from Brisbane under date May 27, says: "In the Tourist Department to-day I met Mrs. Geddes-Crawford, well known in Auckland some years ago as Miss Stevens, who was an artist and had premises in the Victoria Arcade. She then took a keen interest in "public affairs of interest to women and contributed freely to the newspapers. She is now on the staff of one of the big life insurance companies, but still has literary aspirations and continues" to take keen interest in New Zealand."
