LIQUOR IN AMERICA. (Received 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 26. Mr. Justice Sutherland, reading the Court's opinion, held emphatically that the Volstead Act imposes no criminal liability on the purchaser of illegal liquor and pointed out the significance that Congress has not acted to penalise liquor buyers specifically.
